About 'A Tudor Weekend Kent'

As a fellow Tudor time traveller, we all know how challenging it can be to plan your perfect Tudor-themed, weekend adventure, especially if you are visiting from afar. It is difficult to know where to stay, the places to visit and even easier to miss out on all those little details that can really bring a place to life. Have you ever wished that someone would just come along and take all the guesswork away?

Believe me, I know just how you feel!

Before I started researching and writing about Tudor history, I would spent countless happy hours visiting many beautiful Tudor locations. Sometimes, I might buy a guide book at the property, sometimes not; whichever way though, I now know that I was missing out on so much learning and fun because I didn’t understand how the building was used, or the guide book never went into enough specific Tudor detail connecting the place with people and events.

The ‘A Tudor Weekend Away’ series is the perfect antidote to all that, creating a hassle-free itinerary for your perfect Tudor-themed weekend break.

‘A Tudor Weekend Away… in Kent’ is the first in the series and here, at The Tudor Travel Guide, we are giving it away FREE to anyone who subscribes to the blog as our way of saying 'thank you' for joining our community of passionate Tudor time travellers.

The first edition contains a suggested weekend travel itinerary, which will take you to some amazing Tudor locations – some well known, some less well known. It includes information on the history of three stunning locations associated with the Boleyn family; Pashley Manor, Hever Castle and Penshurst Place. There will be a mini-guided tour where appropriate, highlighting notable Tudor features, as well as things to look out for and ‘must sees’. There is also an ‘historic walk’ across the Kentish countryside from Hever to Penshurst, as well as two accommodation recommendations; one luxury, one luxury for less.
